Giannis Antetokounmpo hints at leaving Milwaukee Bucks, plans training sessions with NBA legend Hakeem Olajuwon

The Milwaukee Bucks have made some key decisions to please their superstar Giannis Antetokounmpo. They have re-signed Khris Middleton and Brook Lopez and have also fired their former coach Mike Budenholzer after their first-round exit from the playoffs last season.

The Bucks have hired Antetokounmpo’s preferred choice and rookie coach Adrian Griffin. Despite the changes at the helm, the Bucks are still eager to win back the NBA Championship in the upcoming season.

The franchise will offer Antetokounmpo the biggest contract in NBA history next season and it’s on him to accept or reject the deal. But if he wins the ring this season then things could get rather easier for the Bucks. But if he sees another opportunity more lucrative than the Bucks which will help him get the Championship, then he will take it. He said the same on the 48Minutes podcast.

“I’m a Milwaukee Buck, but most importantly I’m a winner… If there is a better situation for me to win the Larry O’Brien trophy I have to take that better situation,” Antetokounmpo stated.

The Bucks are the clear favourites to win the title again this year with the team that they have at their disposal. But with the core players being on the wrong side of 30 is a little concerning for the franchise. So a younger pivot will have to come to elevate them in a couple of years. Antetokounmpo is practical about the situation and therefore teams like the Miami Heat and Los Angeles Lakers are excited to monitor his situation.

Antetokounmpo is returning after knee surgery and he spoke about training plans with Houston Rockets legend Hakeem Olajuwon. He shared his admiration for the Hall of Famer and wants to learn a trick or two from him.

“This season for the training camp I have a trip that I’m going to go down to Houston and try to work out with Hakeem Olajuwon. I love his game and if I can kind of take a few things from his game or learn anything from the few days I’m going to spend with him it’s going to be a blessing,” the Greek Freak revealed his training plans.

The two-time MVP keeps on adding new facets to his game and that is why is the face of the league ahead of many other star players. He is someone who can retire as a legend if he keeps working hard. Even the next championship isn’t too far from Antetokounmpo if he remains this determined to win.
