Stefanos Tsitsipas shares his thoughts on Nick Kyrgios and Novak Djokovic feud

The Australian Open is underway and so are the controversies. Nick Kyrgios and Novak Djokovic’s war of words and banter have continued and now the reporters are asking other players for their opinions. Similarly, they asked Greek sensation Stefanos Tsitsipas about his opinion on the matter after his first-round win against Gilles Simon which he won in straight sets (6-1,6-2, 6-1).

While Tsitsipas is no way related in the war of words going on between these two players he once commented that there are people who can like Kyrgios and some of them may not like him. But there cannot be people in between. The fans agreed with his way of thinking and appreciated his clear way of thinking.

“I don’t know I cannot answer this. I don’t have enough feedback from people and I have better things to do. Honestly, I don’t know. With Kyrgios it’s much less transparent, I think,” 22-year-old replied when he was asked about the issue.

The former Australian Open semi finalist simply was not interested in the whole feud and clearly mentioned that they can do whatever they want. However, he also added his opinion on the antics of Nick Kyrgios. He said,” “From a tennis player perspective, I mean Nick likes to say things sometimes and some of them can be true, some of them can cross the line and be too much.”

However, the Tsitsipas lauded Kyrgios for speaking his mind and keeping things raw in front of the public. While the Greek sensation is also aware of the other side.

“There are many stupid things that he did in the past and I’m sure he’s aware of and obviously, you know, can’t deny them. And there are a few things he has said in interviews and quotations and headlines that could be considered as true so it lies somewhere in between,” Tsitsipas mentioned.

It was clear that the 22-year old was not comfortable enough to speak about Novak Djokovic and did not get into any trouble as well. After all he is there for the Australian Open not for any feud. Tsitsipas will play local player Thanasi Kokkinakis in the second round.
