Pogba ready to give up money for Juventus

Juventus midfielder Paul Pogba has said he is ready to give up money to play for the Turin club again.

The 2018 World Cup winner was given an initial four-year ban after he failed a standard Serie A doping test at the start of last season.

After lodging an appeal partially accepted by the Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS), the ban was reduced to 18 months.

This gives him the opportunity to return to training for Juventus in March 2025 and honor his contract, which ends in the summer of 2026.

In an interview with Sky Sports, the former Manchester United midfielder said he felt like a caged lion due to the ban.

Ahead of his return to football action, it remains to be seen whether it will be at Juventus, as the club is considering a termination by mutual consent.

A recent interview by Thiago Motta shows that Pogba is not considered part of his plan.

Pogba said it would be a new him; he is hungrier, wiser, and more robust.

“I trained alone with staff this year and am ready to return to normality in 2025. I have only one desire: to play football.

“The love of the fans was never lacking. Due to legal issues, I couldn’t have contact with the Juve players, but many teammates, past and present, showed support. Juan Cuadrado called every two days and made me laugh. Dybala sent a lot of messages, then Vlahovic, McKennie, Weah, Kean…, ” he told La Gazzetta dello Sport.

Motta, for his part, said he has not been able to talk to him, but that moment will come.

With his focus on getting ready and playing with Juve, Pogba said he would do his talking on the pitch, and then Motta could judge with his own eyes based on what he saw.

“Talk is nice, but I want to play for Juve and be the best for France.

“I am ready to give up money to play for Juve. I want to return.”
