Cadiz CF was very active in the transfer market trying to reinforce their roster.
The club intends to stay in the Primera Division, and they know that to achieve this, they need good players.
After several departures and arrivals, the club has closed its roster for the season, and its president is satisfied.
Manuel Vizcaino, president of Cadiz, commented in an interview with Radio Marca Cadiz, that he is delighted with the moves made in the transfer market. “I think it has been a good market. At the beginning of the market, those who have clear ideas made their move. And at the end of the market, those who are looking for bargains. In recent years, we have moved in both options. I think this time we moved very well at the beginning and in the end we got what we wanted. If not 100%, but is almost there,” said Vizcaino.
One of the hot topics during the interview was the last-minute signing of Ruben Sobrino. Vizcaino said: “Sobrino, I thought he was lost, and when we were told he was not leaving Valencia, we considered the squad closed. Later those conversations were resumed, and Ruben was never too much for us. We reached an agreement with Valencia because it was the most elegant thing to do”.
Sobrino arrives at Cadiz with a contract for three seasons, and the player is happy to be able to play again with the club. During his presentation, the player said: “From the first day I signed for Valencia I have given everything, and I leave with a clear conscience because I have always done my best. Now I am thrilled in Cadiz, in a place where I felt very much loved and where I was able to help save the club”.
Vizcaino added that the whole club is aware that this season will be more complicated than the last.
“Always the second season is more complicated because they know us more. I’m confident that if we maintain our DNA, things will work out the way they usually do”.
