Spanish Midfielder Lucas Vazquez could be departing Real Madrid in the summer after talks with the club over a new deal broke down again.
The 29-year-old has played 30 times from a possible 37 matches for the Los Blancos this season but a meeting between the player’s representative and the club failed to yield needed results.
Meanwhile, the club is said to be ready to replace the midfielder with Levante’s Jorge de Frutos as his replacement.
De Frutos is a Real Madrid academy product but only sold to Levante last summer with the Los Blancos keeping 50% of his rights.
The 24-year-old has featured 30 times for Levante in all competitions this season with three goals scored.
However, Lucas who rejected a new three-year deal with a 10% reduction in salary, is also considering offers from other clubs.
Furthermore, Real Madrid has confirmed that Eden Hazard will not undergo an ankle injury after his latest injury.
According to reports, the Belgian international prefers to go under the knife on his ankle after several injury setbacks which have frustrated the former Chelsea player.
However, after several consultations with the medical staff, the forward has been convinced to not have ankle surgery.
Hazard has played only 14 matches this season for Zinedine Zidane’s men as he also missed out on the UEFA Champions League Round of 16-second leg clash against Atalanta on Tuesday.
Real Madrid won 3-1 on the night and 4-1 on aggregate while their quarter-final opponents will be known on Friday when the draws are made in Nyon.
Furthermore, La Liga sides Villarreal and Granada moved into the next stage of the UEFA Europa League.
The Yellow Submarines defeated Ukrainian giants Dynamo Kyiv 2-0 on the night and 4-0 on aggregate while Granada lost 2-1 to Molde in Norway and 3-2 on aggregate.
