Tottenham Hotspur striker Harry Kane has been confirmed to miss out on football action for four months after going under the knife for a Hamstring issue.
Tottenham was dealt a big blow when it was confirmed that the England striker would be out till April.
Kane sustained the injury in the Loss to Southampton in an English Premier League clash at the Saint Mary’s Stadium on the1st of January.
Although no specific date was stated for his return, the England international is expected to recover in April in time to return to form and stake a claim for a spot in Gareth Southgate’s roaster to Euro 2020.
A statement by Spurs revealed that after an assessment on the injury by a team of medics at the White Hart Lane revealed that Kane requires surgery to repair a ruptured tendon in his left Hamstring.
Kane has scored 11 goals in 20 appearances for Tottenham Hotspur in the English Premier League this season, six behind Jamie Vardy, who tops the goalscorers chart with 17 goals.
It is a massive blow for Spurs, who only after the appointment of Jose Mourinho started getting improved form and results.
However, in their last five games in the EPL, the team has won 2 games, lost two, and a draw is sitting them on the sixth position with a whopping six-point gap between them and the Blues, Chelsea who sit in the last UEFA Champions League places.
Kane will not play in several league games as well as the round of 16 games of the UEFA Champions League against RB Leipzig.
However, they can bank on South Korea Striker Son Hueng-Min, Lucas Moura, Dele Ali, and Fernando Llorente for the goals.
Up next is Liverpool at the White Hart Lane on Saturday for Jose Mourinho’s men.
