Former France international Jérôme Rothen says another club has entered the race to sign Paris Sainte-Germaine talisman, Kylian Mbappé this summer.
Speaking on his RMC show Rothen On Fire, the former PSG midfielder quoted information from his sources, saying the third club that entered the race can also make him think.
Rothen, who is yet to know the identity of this club, added that what is certain is that it’s not Barcelona.
While noting that the La Liga club is out of the question for him for several reasons, he said in Europe right now; there are not many clubs who can sign the World Cup winner.
Meanwhile, Mbappé seems to be having a rethink about his future regarding his current deal with the club. This is following his comment after helping PSG to a 5-1 win over Lorient over the weekend.
Speaking to ESPN Argentina after the 5-1 win, Mbappé said there were “new factors” to consider when deciding his future.
While suggesting that playing with Lionel Messi could help keep him at PSG, he reiterated that he is yet to decide on his future.
Thus, he remained relaxed, adding that finishing the season is what matters to him.
Noting that he has been having a lot of fun playing alongside Messi, Mbappe said the six-times world footballer of the year can improve his game because he’s a unique player.
He further stated that having a chance to see the mercurial player daily and to play with him is an honour.
Mbappe, who never thought he would play with Messi, said is very happy as he had already learnt a lot from a legend who will go down in football history.
On his future which is expected to be decided in July, the 23-year-old striker stated that there were new things to consider as hopes grow in Paris.
