In a league as competitive as the Spanish, a good start to the season is key to ensuring a good campaign.
But in the case of Cadiz CF, their start to the season was not the best. The club accumulates 2 draws and 2 losses in 4 games.
These results have caused many detractors of coach Alvaro Cervera to raise their voices. For them, the scheme and tactics of the coach are not the right ones, and he is not taking advantage of the club’s resources.
Faced with criticism, the player Salvi Sanchez has come out in defense of his coach. In an interview with Diario As, Sanchez said:
“He is the ideal coach for the club, and he has been clear about things since he arrived. He has had a difficult time and despite this he has continued to bet on his way of watching football and that many do not bet on it. At other times he has endured great critics, but his work has paid off. He has been the head of the Cadiz being in the First Division.”
He also added: “Cervera is not going to change because of what they tell him, he has things very clear and is going to die with his ideas. He will be able to listen to you, but he is not going to change.”
What is most criticized about Cervera is a game scheme that is too predictable and repetitive.
Although for the analyst Marco Rodrigo, it is false that the other teams already know how to play and beat Cadiz.
The analyst said in an article: “Last season from matchday four all the La Liga teams knew how Cádiz played and yet he achieved a comfortable stay and become strong with his style, therefore that rivals have him caught the measure is a bit absurd. All the teams know each other. ”
Cadiz must improve its performance if it wants to remain in the first division.
