Unstoppable Lakers massacre Miami Heats in Game 1

LeBron, Anthony Davis, and the rest of the unstoppable Lakers massacred Miami Heats in the Game 1 of the NBA Conference Finals.

It was a straightforward victory for the Los Angeles Lakers as they cruised to a 116 – 98 over the Miami Heats in the first game of the NBA Conference Finals.

Going into the season finale, the Lakers team – led by LeBron James and Anthony Davis, were the two key players expected to deliver the performance of their lives against a solid Miami Heat, whose depth got them this far.

The Heat came out blazing early in the game, as they made nine of 12 shots few minutes into the first quarter of Game 1. This led Los Angeles Lakers head coach Frank Vogel to call for a time-out with his team trailing the Heats 23-10.

In an unexpected turn of events, the Lakers were up by 31-28 at the end of the first quarter. And by the end of the second quarter, Los Angeles led 65-48 as the Heat crumbled on.

Los Angeles led by 32 points in the third quarter, while the Heat saw two stars leave the game injured and were unable to make any sort of offensive headway after a hot start.

Heat’s player, Jimmy Butler played with discomfort as he stayed in the game after spraining his ankle in the first half. Butler finished with 23 points and was the only Miami player who could offer consistent offence presence for the Heat.

As for the purple and gold, Los Angeles reduced their intensity once the game was already out of reach for the Heat.

Laker’s star man Anthony Davis led the way with 34 points, while LeBron  James also delivered as he stacked the box score with 25 points, 13 boards, and 9 assists.

While other members of the Lakers supporting cast, such as Kentavious Caldwell-Pope, scored 10 points in the first quarter, as he and Danny Green had a combined five three-pointers and 24 points.

The Heat will, for the first time this post-season, be trailing in a series as they prepare to face the Lakers in Game 2. Meanwhile, Game 2 will come up on Saturday, October 3.
