NBA Analyst Colin Cowherd is in awe of LeBron James’ longevity in his glorious career. Cowherd said Michael Jordan played 1200 games in his career and he was really shot in the last 250 matches while LeBron James has already played 1600 matches in his career and still has the hunger to keep going.
The upcoming NBA season will be the 20th in James’ career. The veteran is 37-year-old but he is still at the top of his fitness and still has the same hunger to keep delivering the goods.
James recently played in Drew League and he will be determined to do well in the forthcoming season after last year’s disappointing season.
“MJ played 1200 games in his career, in his last 250 he was shot … LeBron’s played over 1600 games and still has a burst,” Cowherd said on his show.
LeBron James averaged 30.3 points per game last season as he played at the top of his game but he was the lone warrior for the LA Lakers.
Cowherd reckons if you put the right team then LeBron James has the skills and leadership to take his team to NBA Championship.
“If you put him on the right team, he could lead an NBA team to a championship. He’s just with an organization that’s got chaos, a bad roster and nobody can really shoot.”
“As much as we all love Kevin Durant, and I think he’s a great player, but if you told me I could sign KD or James on a two-year contreact I would take James.”
James had earlier shown interest to play his last season with his son Bronny James. Meanwhile, James has never taken a long break from the game, which goes to show why he is one of the fittest players in the sport. On the other hand, Michael Jordan also dominated the sport but he played in a different era altogether.
